Our wild feline crew- this page is
still a work in progress.

Over the years we have both had cats throughout our lives.
All of our feline companions these days have been rescues and have been altered.
I have always held a deep love for black cats and planned long in advance for the day I
would own one, - whose names would be Magik, and another called Taboo. The cat
represents an important part of history and culture. Back to ancient Egypt and
the times of the Goddess Bastet. Early statuary and carvings of Bast are often
confused with Sekmet because Bast in Lower Egypt was depicted as a lion headed
female. Later she evolved into a cat headed goddess and finally in the
Middle Kingdom was depicted as we most commonly know her today, as a domestic
cat.
Magik- he is the eldest boy, born sometime in November of
2001. He and his brother Rebel traveled with us to Wyoming and back, where
somehow little Rebel disappeared. He and his brother are amazing escape artists.
Only Rebel kept on going. Although the dogs pretend to be in charge, Magik rules
the roost and makes sure everyone is kept in line. His days are spent lounging
on the bed or sunning in a widow. At night, he's on the prowl howling at the
moon and keeping the youngsters in line.
Cricket- oh what can I say about cricket, other then she
is daddy's little princess...who of course does NOTHING wrong! lol ya right!
Cricket believes she is queen Sheba around here and the cheese nip queen. She's
a well fed girl who spends her days waiting around for dad to come home so she
can chase him around the house telling him to feed her cheese nips and then
sleep away the night at his feet.
Lillian-
Miss Lilli is our wild wide eyed child and our little bobcat girl. Her
and Cricket were captured at the same place, amongst several wild ferals,
and bottle fed. Lilli is a few weeks younger and weighed barely a pound when we
got her in June of 2003. Lilly is a picky girl and has her moments. Her dearest
love in life is the boar bristle brush I use to groom the dogs. One sight of her
brush and she torments you till you brush her, although she'd much rather u let
her do the brushing herself.
Rinoa- last but never forgotten (she won't let us!) is
miss rinny whee. I don't know why we call her that, but it happened. She
is our wild child and very much still a kitten.
