NEWS FROM 2008

December 29, 2008 - The babies are here!! She fooled us yesterday and kept us up all night in wait, but it was well worth it. Today Phoebe brought into the world four gorgeous new butterflies. Two boys and two girls, the last of which a big, yet tiny, surprise to us all. We are so very thankful all went well and routine this time. Phoebe is a wonderful mother and intent on doing her job as a new momma. If they stay as perfect as they are now, we'll be turning heads in the ring! :)

December 26, 2008 - Today was the trip to our  vet for X-rays with miss phoebe. Everyone in town was in getting vet checks for their new puppies, LOTS of labs. So, it looks like in a few days three new butterflies will be joining us. We're not sure they will fit so we might be making a rush back to the vet for a c-section. It's great seeing the pups on x-ray and I'm glad I was able to photograph it well enough to share. :)

December 24, 2008  the count down has begun, only a few more days to go... we can hardly wait!! Phoebe was bred to BIS Multi CH Caratoots Classy Centerfold "Jazz".. this gorgeous boy is what sparked our interest into the breed. The moment I saw him float around the ring I knew someday I wanted to own a dog just like him... so you can imagine our excitement when the opportunity came to have him as a sire to one of our litters. No puppies will be available from this crossing at this time. You can view the pups outstanding pedigree here.

Phoebe was having a great time rolling on our freshly cleaned bed, so we took the opportunity for some cute belly shots. :)

October 19, 2008 - Canine Good Citizen Test

Phoebe and Gypsy complete their testing and are now certified CGC and TDI (therapy) dogs! Below are random photos taken from their test exam. We just got a new camera and are learning how to use it, hence we didn't get the motion button on and some of the photos turned out a little blurry. We look forward to starting the girls at their new career in early spring 2009. We now have three certified therapy dogs and four who have passed their AKC Canine Good Citizen test.

Above- phoebe sitting for petting and sitting for the recall. Below she is on a down stay.

Above - Gypsy sitting for petting and brushing. Heel work, and a down  stay.
We had to do this twice since she really does not like to down.
But she was a good little girl and always had her eyes on me watching.

Above- Gypsy on recall, walking through a crowd, and then her visiting with someone in a wheel chair.
She was more then happy to be lifted into the ladies lap some soft pats and a snuggle.

October 9, 2008 - The butterflies are growing up quick. Their eyes have been open for a few days now and they are already up and walking around. I made this video tonight of the babies from birth to three weeks. There is music  too, so turn your speakers on. Enjoy!

Born September 19, 2008 - Our  baby girl Paris was quite brave and brought into the world two beautiful new butterflies last night. Her struggle and determination despite the many complications during the process really took it out of her and we almost lost her at one point from stress and exhaustion. We manage to get baby Jade out, but it was more of a process then any of us were comfortable with and she was born lifeless. Almost two full minutes of rubbing and gentle breaths working her brought joyful screeches in the wee hours of the morning. We ended up rushing her to our vet for an emergency c-section where Echo earned his name proudly by coming out hollering for all the world to hear! This is the last litter for Paris and these new butterflies will be staying with us to carry on her lines.

September 1, 2008 - Almost time!! Paris is now into her 7th week and her cute puppy tummy is starting to show. Ok, so we're just a LITTLE bit excited about these babies! This will be Paris' second and last litter of pups. Her daughter from her first litter finished her UKC Championship at just barely 11 months and was not shown until she was 8 months. She has also won BOB puppy and Reserve Winners Bitch at two separate AKC shows! The pups father is sired by  CAN CH Diamondsun Harrison (sired by BPIS Can/Am Ch. Maleko Rykor von Tiamo x Diamondsun's Northern Star ROM). We hope to see fantastic coat, fringe, and structure from these pups. At this time, we are not offering any pups from this litter for sale. This is purely for information purpose only.

July 23, 2008 - We recieved these adorable photos of our pups siblings today. Sky & Storm were born at Raven Crest, their parents are Raven Crest Panda (littermate to Baron & Paris) and UKC CH Raven Crest Chasin'  The Gold. Their adopted parents love to travel and camp and the kids are having a blast exploring all the new sights.

Below are some photos of Sky and Storm growing up.

Handsome Storm, he looks just like his Uncle Baron when he was a pup.

August 9, 2008 - We're happy to welcome little Bebop into our home. Not sure what the future will hold for this cute little boy, but to say the least we are pleased to have him with us and a part of our family.

Pictured left: Bebop and his littermate sister Gyspy.

Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club (AKC) July 26, 2008 - Kyra wins 1st place 9-12mo puppy and Reserve Winners Bitch under Judge Paula Hartinger. Kyra spent most of her time dancing around the ring and showing everyone what a silly wild child she can be. Many thanks to Mrs. Hartinger for taking the time and patience to see what a beautiful girl Kyra is.

Special thanks to judge Chris Cornell for passing Baron on his Canine Good Citizen title.

CO

"Piper" is a new Canadian champion! This beautiful girl is a half sister to Phoebe. We had the pleasure of spending a few months with Piper earlier in 2007. This girl won our hearts the moment we saw her. Piper completed her UKC Championship in style with only three showings, placing well during group also. She was also on the top ten standings for several months before going back home.

We are VERY happy for her owners Graeme & Elaine Daws of Kalisse Papillons

L-R: Piper winning her UKC CH in May 2007 and winning 2pts Winners Bitch in July 07. She also placed 3rd in Bred By Group that weekend! Piper is well on her way to becoming an AKC champion as well. This little girl has everything going for her, looks and personality!!

June 4, 2008 - Gypsy began her first training session with the  cart. This girl never ceases to amaze us! After some initial curiosity of what all the racket was, she took off like a rocket pulling for 1/8th mile like she'd been doing it forever!. We also worked on drag puling, i hope to get photos of this soon, it was getting too dark to get any good  shots in of her working. Gypsy has wonderful form and power for only being 7months of age.

This handsome boy is everything we had hoped of this crossing, beautiful silky coat, correct structure, and a sweet butterfly expression. View more photos of Bodie at Inari Farm.
